Grant M. Ryan is a talented photographer and a good friend of mine. He enjoys and excels at traditional celluloid black & white photographic productions. The knack for capturing that special moment in time and space is evident throughout his work.

Although Grant has been refining his craft for years, he was in need of personal branding. In October 2013, I created a visual identity to fit his personality. This effort included a simple yet powerful logo as well as a mobile friendly, fully responsive website.

Earthkeepers II

Earthkeepers II promote energy conservation

Earthkeepers II is an environmental initiative of the interfaith community in northern Michigan that now has a professional logo and website. I recently had the honor of designing their identity and giving them an official home on the web.

Earthkeepers II consists of ten faith traditions involving 250 faith communities in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. They are partnering with the US Environmental Protection Agency, the United States Forest Service, and the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community during 2013-14. The Cedar Tree Institute, a nonprofit organization which provides services and initiates projects in the areas of mental health, religion, and the environment, is coordinating the Initiative.

Papa Crow Website Redesign

Papa Crow Redesign

Papa Crow, a.k.a. Jeff Krebs, hails from the beautiful south shore of Lake Superior. He crafts thoughtful and fun music for kids and families. After starting his own family, he dove headfirst into children’s music and decided to make his own album. In 2011, “Things That Roar” was released. This was his debut album of homemade kids and family songs that explore such topics as invisible polar bears, chicken lips, hairy frogs, things not to be afraid of, licorice, lemonade, kites, etc.

Aaron Kippola shares his musical endeavors

Aaron Kippola is a multi-talented musician who is known for his saxophone, guitar, drums, and more. He is currently working on several self-produced albums on which he sings and plays most of the instruments. Several years ago, I designed a logo for him and began work on his Album Covers. I also created a simple splash page in lieu of a proper website. After a long wait, I’m glad to announce the launch of his new website.

I’ll talk more about the website redesign in another post, but right now I want to explain my new logo and business card design in more detail.
