Discover my work with Dead River Derby
At Middle Ear Media, I had the pleasure of working with Dead River Derby, Marquette Michigan’s new roller derby league. Roller derby is an aggressive, full-contact race between two teams of women, and the goal of the project was to create a website that accurately reflected the league and its offerings.
Web Design and Front-end Development
I designed and developed a fully responsive website that has the logo as the main focus and kept everything else simple and minimalist. The color scheme is black and gray on a white background. For a feminine touch, I used pink as the highlight color for the main navigation menu and throughout the site.
The website was built with responsive design techniques to ensure it looks good and works properly on any device, including mobile phones. The website is built on a Content Management System (CMS) which allows the staff at Dead River Derby to easily update and manage the website’s content, including updating schedule of upcoming bouts, news feed, and membership options.
E-commerce
I provided E-commerce integration, which allow visitors to sign up for membership directly from the website.
Web Hosting
I also provided web hosting services to Dead River Derby to ensure that the website is always accessible and running smoothly.
I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with Dead River Derby, and help them establish a strong online presence that accurately reflects the league and its offerings. The website, with its simple and modern design, effectively showcases Dead River Derby’s and serves as an important tool for reaching new audiences and growing the league.
